Do you know the comparison and selection of different types of laboratory tabletop materials?

In different laboratories, the selection of the experimental table is different. For the chemical laboratory and the physical laboratory, the selection of the experimental table is very different.

一、Comparison and Selection of Experimental Tables in Chemical Laboratory

Experimental projects carried out in chemical laboratories often use various chemicals such as acids, alkalis, organic solvents, etc. Therefore, the material of the laboratory table top is generally required to be resistant to corrosion. In addition, for certain high-temperature chemical experiments, the laboratory table needs to be resistant high temperature.

1、 Ceramic table

Advantages: high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance (except hydrofluoric acid experiment), high insulation and wear resistance.

Disadvantages: not resistant to impact, relatively low compression resistance, high smoothness of the table.

2、 Marble countertop

Advantages: high temperature resistance, can withstand temperatures above 1000 ℃, in addition, the marble table has high hardness, is not easy to deform, and has good wear resistance, and the load-bearing capacity is 500 kg / ㎡

Disadvantages: the cost is relatively high, so it is generally used in laboratory sky platforms, high temperature tables.

3、 Solid core physical and chemical board

Advantages: The plate is made of resin after high temperature and high pressure, the surface is subjected to special physical and chemical treatment, the cost is low, and it has acid and alkali corrosion resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, and impact resistance. Most of the experimental benches of ordinary chemical laboratories choose solid cores Physical and chemical board as a laboratory table.

Disadvantages: Although it is heat resistant but not high temperature resistant, it cannot withstand temperatures above 80 ° C for a long time. The corrosion resistance of the solid core physical and chemical board is higher than that of the marble countertop, but the durability will be slightly lower than that of the marble countertop. (Note: No matter how good the test bench needs to be maintained, so does the solid core physicochemical board. If it is in direct contact with acid, alkaline chemicals for a long time or in high temperature and humidity for a long time, the service life of the physicochemical board will be greatly reduced.

4、 Epoxy resin board

Advantages: Epoxy resin board is more durable, epoxy resin board is a good choice. The epoxy resin board is mainly composed of reinforced epoxy resin. The internal and external materials are the same and the repairability is strong. Has strong acid and alkali resistance, impact resistance, high temperature resistance.

Disadvantages: countertop cost is too high.

二、Comparison and selection of experiment table in physics laboratory

Compared with the chemical laboratory, the physical laboratory test bench has almost no requirements for corrosion resistance. The optical laboratory requires a high level of test bench and good shock resistance. The mechanical laboratory requires the test bench to be resistant to impact, wear, and high load coefficient , There are still some physical experiments that require anti-static test bench.

1、 Solid core physical and chemical board

General physical laboratory benches with no special requirements can use solid core physicochemical plates as countertops, but care should be taken, and sharp objects should not be used for scratching. Melamine plates can also be used as countertops for general physical laboratory bench.

2、 Stone countertop

For some high-temperature, high-pressure, high-wear physical experiments, stone physical test benches have advantages, such as granite and marble, not only high temperature resistance, good bearing capacity, but also strong resistance to physical and chemical plates.

3、 Stainless steel countertop

Stainless steel countertops can be used for optical table top manufacturing. In addition, for experimental benches with high anti-shock performance requirements, solid stainless steel countertops with a large thickness are required because the stone panel will crack or even break under a large impact Repair, and some stainless steels have better impact resistance than stone.
